Pilot Electrospinning Machine (Pilot NanoSpin)

PNS 260

📄 Brief Description

The NanoSpin Pilot Electrospinning Machine (PNS Series) is a semi-industrial electrospinning platform engineered to bridge the gap between laboratory research and industrial-scale production. Designed for the precise fabrication and coating of polymeric, ceramic, and composite nanofibers, it combines high productivity with exceptional process control.

Equipped with an advanced air-assisted electrospinning system, precision substrate handling, PLC automation, and a 10″ touchscreen HMI, the PNS Series provides complete control over all critical spinning parameters. Supporting coating speeds from 5 to 200 m/h, it enables reproducible nanofiber deposition across a wide range of substrates for research, pilot production, and commercial process development.

NanoSpin PNS nomenclature

PNSXYY

X → Number of Electrospinning Units (1 or 2)

YY → Maximum Electrospinning Width (30 cm or 60 cm)

Examples:

PNS160 → 1 Electrospinning Unit | 60 cm Width

PNS260 → 2 Electrospinning Units | 60 cm Width

Unique Capabilities

The NanoSpin PNS Series combines blown electrospinning technology with precision automation to deliver significantly higher production rates than conventional needle-based electrospinning systems. Five individually controlled blown nozzles generate uniform nanofiber layers while minimizing clogging and improving process stability.

Its synchronized substrate transport system, servo-controlled motion, programmable scanning, and adjustable working distance ensure highly uniform coating over continuous materials. Integrated PLC control, real-time environmental monitoring, and comprehensive safety features allow users to optimize every stage of production with exceptional accuracy and repeatability.

The system supports both single-unit (PNS160) and dual-unit (PNS260) configurations, making it suitable for process development, pilot manufacturing, and scale-up toward industrial production.

Flexibility

The PNS Series is designed to process a broad range of materials, including synthetic, biodegradable, natural, ceramic, and composite polymers. Users can precisely tailor fiber diameter, porosity, morphology, layer thickness, and functional loading to meet the requirements of diverse applications.

Its modular design and programmable operating parameters make the system ideal for process optimization, product development, pilot manufacturing, and seamless transition toward industrial-scale production.
